Fashion Friday...

This Fashion Friday it's all about the best trends for the spring/summer. Pantsuits, crop top and pant/skirt outfits and patterned prints are seen everywhere from red carpet events, the runway and at premiers. Even certain colours like cobalt blue and coral are ruling the fashion scene this season. Take a look at what the in trends are this season...

PANTSUITS
I've mentioned pantsuits quite a few times in my blog posts because I love them so much. They are so trendy and cute and make anyone look classy and fresh. The fashionable girls above all look fabulous in their colourful pantsuits. Shailene Woodley wore an adorable beige vest pantsuit with white tennis shoes for CinemaCom in Las Vegas. Her short pixie cut and tomboyish outfit pair really well together.
Emma Watson wore a tuxedo-esque pantsuit to David Letterman. Paired with black slingback pumps and a pulled back hairstyle and she shines bright.
Selena Gomez wore a similar tuxedo style pantsuit in a bold red colour to We Day. She too added a black pump to the ensemble that allows the suit to pop.
Lorde wore a bubble gum pink pantsuit with a black crop top underneath when she preformed her set at this years Coachella. Her signature big hair and dark lipstick 'goth' up the preppy pink look enough for her personal style.

PATTERNED CROP TOPS AND MATCHING BOTTOMS
Matching patterns and prints are extremely in this season. Not only are they adorable but they're extremely easy to throw on and not worry about matching your outfit. Whether it's a patterned pant set or printed skirt ensemble, you can't go wrong with a matching top and bottom this summer.
Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix fashioned a cute black and white aztec printed crop top and pant set and matched it with solid black pumps. She looks very modern and chic and ready to hit the stage.
Cher Lloyd sported an adorable lace blue and white floral crop top and skirt ensemble with white strappy heals. The british singer adds a rocky edge to the look by showing off her awesome tats.
Selena Gomez flaunts her fit midriff with this patterned turquoise blue crop top and pant outfit. She as well adds white heels to the look and throws in a cute pair of sunglasses for a perfect summery look.

MEDIUM-SHORT HAIR
First it was all about the short pixie cut. Everyone was cutting off their long locks to get the adorable Twiggy like hairstyle. This season it's all about shoulder length/medium-short hair. I personally love this style. Don't get me wrong I love long hair, but this shorter look is perfect for the summer time - especially when you want to hit the beach. This style looks good straight, like Kylie Jenner's hair or with a few waves like Emma Roberts and Lily Collins do's. Or you could add lots of curls similar to Ashley Benson's look. Love this new style!

COBALT BLUE
One of my favourite colour trends this season is the ever so bold and gorgeous cobalt blue. This is different from a royal blue or navy blue - it's much brighter and stands out incredibly. Uma Thurman looks fabulous in this floor length, figure hugging cobalt blue gown. Cobalt blue is trending in not only clothes but accessories too. A bold chunky necklace goes great with a white outfit to add a pop of colour. Cobalt blue nails look adorable for the upcoming spring weather. Pair cobalt blue heels with your ensemble to wow the crowd. This colour is definitely a must have this season.

CORAL
Coral is another trending colour this season that is so beautiful. This is definitely a go-to colour for the summer time - the bold colour against tan skin gives your skin a great glow, like Doutzen Kroes has modelled in her coral bikini. Emma Stone fashions a cute coral mini dress which she paired with bright yellow pumps (awesome choice.) Coral blazers are also a great addition for you summer wardrobe like the one Blake Lively is sporting. One of my favourite lipstick colours is coral just like Cara Delevingne's bright lip. This colour can be worn in many different ways and is an absolute must have this season!

What Is Your Eye Shape? - Tips To Help Enhance Your Eyes...

If you don't already know or are aware that there are many different types of eye shapes out there in the world then please pay attention to the following post because your make-up applications are about to get much easier.. and you're about to learn some very useful and helpful information that you can brag about to all of your friends. In the world of make-up applying, there are many rules and technicalities. Think of your eyes as a sandwich. You could throw a whole bunch of different cold cuts, sauces and garnishes on your sandwich but will it taste good? Making a sandwich takes planning and organization. You wouldn't throw together mustard, peanut butter and ham between two buns and eat it would you? If you said yes to that question I won't judge I promise... But anyways, the same applies for your eyes. In order to enhance and compliment your eyes as best as possible, you need to figure out what type of eye shape you have. Things like eyeliner and eyeshadow both should be applied according to the shape of your eye. I'm going to explain the different eye types there are and give tips on how to apply your make-up so your face will look flawless!

Wide set eyes are defined as when the space between is more than the length of an eye. Someone like Brandy has what is called wide set eyes. Your goal here is to use make-up to help create the illusion of a decrease between your eyes. Here are a few tips..
1. Eyebrows: just as Brandy has, putting a slight arch in your eyebrow gives the illusion that your eyes are closer together.
2. Eye Shadow: using darker coloured eyeshadows will define and bring attention to your eyes. It's important to use darker colours near the base and lighter colours on the outside of the eye.
3. Reverse flick Liner: instead of adding a "flick" to the end of your eyeliner towards the outside, extend your eyeliner line towards your nose a tiny bit. This helps to make the eyes appear to be closer together. With all of the dark dramatic make-up you are applying to your eyes, use a white eyeliner pencil in the waterline to open up your eyes.
4. Mascara: load up on the black mascara to enhance those gorgeous peepers!

Down turned eyes are defined as when the outer corner of your eyes appear to droop down. Actress Camilla Belle is an example of what down turned eyes are. Your goal here is to use make-up to make the eye appear more perked upwards. Here are some tips..
1. Foundation: with down turned your eyes may appear to look 'droopy', there may be bags or dark circles under your eyes that are more prominent and you can appear to look tired. To help avoid these issues, apply a small amount of foundation underneath your eye. This will help to brighten up the eye.
2. Liner: liner is a very crucial part of your make-up application especially when it comes to enhancing down turned eyes. What you want to do here is instead of following the natural curve of your lid, stop a few centimetres before you reach the end and angle your 'flick' towards your temple. This will help lift your eyes.
3. Eyeshadow: stay away from dark colours near the outer corner of your eyes. In this case, Camilla did not follow this rule and the effect, in my opinion, really brought attention to her droopy eyes. Use natural and light colours near outer corners of your lids to brighten and lift your eyes.
4. Eyelashes: curling your eyelashes will also help to lift your eyes. Be careful with heavy fake lashes because they will definitely drag your eyes down.

If you have almond eyes I must congratulate you because you have what is known as the "ideal" eye shape. This is the easiest eye shape to apply make-up to. Almond shaped eyes are defined as having a symmetric shape - tapered at each end, hence looking like an almond. Actress Olivia Wilde's eyes most definitely resemble that almond shape. Here are a few enhancing tips..
1. Eyeliner: to enhance the beauty of the almond eye, starting from the very corner and lining the lash line all the way out into a taper or flick will look amazing on this eye shape. 2. Eye Shadow: you basically have creative freedom and can go as heavy or as light as you want when it comes to shadows. One technique, as seen by Olivia, is to smudge a bit of shadow underneath the eye to make your eyes pop. Also, with this shape adding coloured shadow to the upper part of the lid will open up the eye and help brighten it.

Close set eyes are defined as having less than the length of one eye between them, the opposite of wide set. Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland has close set eyes. Your goal here is make your eyes seem further apart than they are. Follow these tips..
1. Eyebrows: try to stay away from having your eyebrows too close to the middle of your forehead. You want your eyebrows to start at the inner corner of your eyes to make them appear further apart.
2. Eyeliner: unlike what Sarah has, try not to start your eyeliner at the very inner corner of your eye, start it a bit before the middle of your eye. Add a wing or flick at the end to stretch out your eyes.
3. Eyeshadow: when it comes to shadows, you want to start off with light colours in the inner corner and fade into a darker colour towards the end. The light will open up the inner corner and the dark will draw attention to the outer corner making them look longer.

Protruding or prominent eyes are defined as big or round, bulging out (which is quite a harsh way to say it) and are quite prominent on your face. Actress Christina Ricci is an example of someone with protruding eyes. With this eye shape, less is definitely more because your eyes are already a gorgeous work of art. Here are ways to enhance these beauties..
1. Eyeliner: a thin line starting from the inner corner all the way out works well with this eye shape. You don't need a lot or a thick line because your eyes already naturally stand out.
2. Eyeshadow: with this much lid space protruding eyes make a make-up artists' dream come true! You can go all out with colours and patterns if you please and it will look awesome on you. Enhancing your crease line will also look really great on you. One thing that is important is to try and add some shadow below the eye as well so there isn't an overwhelming amount of focus on the top lid. Try to avoid glittery/shimmery shadows - these tend to 'bulge' the eyes more.
3. Mascara: plenty of mascara is great but try to steer clear from overbearing fake lashes which will open the eye too much and give you a doll type look (unless that's what you're going for.)

Hooded eyes are defined as when your natural crease is hidden by the excess skin under your brow, hence "hooded". Selena Gomez and I both have hooded eyes. This eye shape can be difficult to work with because there isn't a lot of lid space to work on. These are a few ways to help your make-up application with hooded eyes (from personal experience)..
1. Eyeliner: for me personally, I've found that what works best for me is starting from the inner corner and going out to a flick. What isn't a good thing to do is apply eyeliner in the water line. This will cause the eyes to appear smaller than they are. Add white in the water line instead to open up the eyes.
2. Eyeshadow: with hooded eyes, you don't have much space to do anything and you are also limited to how high on the lid you can bring your shadow. Personally, if my shadow goes any higher than a little above my crease, I start to look like a clown - this is because when someone with hooded eyes places shadow on the brown bone, it creates an even more droopy effect. If you are going to put shadow on the brow bone stick to a highlight colour right underneath the brow to take away from the hooded part. Also, adding a bit of shadow underneath your eye will help to make your eyes appear bigger.
3. Eyebrows: because you do not have much room to work with, ensure that your eyebrows are always clean and crisp to maximize the space you have.

Deep set eyes are defined as located deeper in the skull or eye socket and appear to be 'sunken in.' This allows your brow bone to become more prominent. Megan Fox is an example of someone with deep set eyes. The goal here is to make your eyes pop. Follow these tips to help enhance your eyes..
1. Eyeshadow: keep shadows on the lid to bring your eye forward. Adding a highlight in the inner corner will also help to make your eyes pop. Stay away from darker colours or smokey eyes because this will make your eyes appear more sunken.
2. Eyeliner: a thin line across the lash that is slightly lifted at the end will help to bring forward the eyes. Also, starting from the middle of your bottom lash line apply a thin line of liner to the outer corner to help your eye recede. Stay away from lining your water line, this will sink your eyes.
3. Mascara: adding fake lashes is a great idea because the bigger the lashes the more your eye pops. Add lots of emphasis to your outer lashes to open your eyes up.

Asian eyes are defined as slightly smaller, resembling almond shaped and do not have a visible crease. Lucy Liu is an example of someone with asian eyes. The goal here is to enhance them and make them look bigger. Here are some tips..
1. Eyeliner: apply a thin line across the whole lash line and add a wing if you please. Stay away from liner in the water line for this will make the eye appear smaller.
2. Eyeshadow: do not overuse dark shadows. The best way to do eyeshadow on asian eyes is to go for an ombre effect. Start with dark shadows underneath your eye, medium shades on your lid and highlight your brow bone. The dark and highlight will help to open up your eye and allow it to appear bigger.
3. Mascara: the more the better. Double up layers, add fakes, the more extreme your lashes are the bigger your eyes will appear.

So those are the eight main eye shapes known in the make-up world. I hope you have decided which shape you are and I hope I have provided you with some helpful tips and information. All eyes are beautiful, enhancing them will provide us with even more beauty.

Fashion Friday - Selena Gomez Edition...

So it's Fashion Friday once again and as I was trying to pick my top three fabulous outfits of the week, I found myself drawn to Selena Gomez and her amazing style sense. I'm not afraid to admit it, Selena Gomez has been my woman crush for years, and I am completely obsessed with her. So choosing her for all three picks wasn't very hard for me to do. Here are my top three looks of the week...

3

Selena recently stepped out at the Unite4:Good Gala in this gorgeous Antonio Berardi Spring 2014 white jumpsuit. The long flared pants and pink and purple beaded bodice compliment Selena's petite figure and olive complexion. The jumpsuit was worn on the Antonio Berardi Spring 2014 fashion show and Selena looks like she just stepped off the runway - she looks fab! The bold red lip adds the perfect amount of edginess to this look, and her wispy ponytail hairstyle gives the classy jumpsuit a modern look.

Even when Selena goes out for a casual shopping day and some Starbucks, she still looks incredibly chic. Ms. Gomez wore this adorable studded shoulder bleached dress that is actually from Forever 21! Lucky for us fans, we can copy this style without having to go completely broke. Her amazing black Brian Atwood Electra boots are very daring but she struts in those heels with complete confidence - making me want to buy them! Pair the ensemble with black Urban Outfitter sunglasses and her natural brown locks, and she, like always, looks like a rockstar.

I've been talking about my love for the crop top recently, and I just love how Selena sported this cream, high neck top. The matching loose, wide flared pants and black stilettos make her legs look extremely long. Selena wore this amazing matching top and pant ensemble when she arrived at a hotel in Beverly Hills. Her natural wavy, brown hair works really well with this outfit, and her black purse, brown sunglasses and bangle bracelet accessories are a nice touch.

Those are my top three looks of the week, Selena Gomez edition. See you next Friday!

Eight Ways To Wear Leggings...

I don't know about anyone else, but in this cold, wintery weather, my favourite go-to outfits at the moment are leggings paired with just about anything. The beneficial thing about leggings is you can pair them with so many different accessories, wear them in any season and they are extremely comfy - bonus! There are millions of different ways you can sport leggings, but I'll be focusing on eight main different ways...

8 Oh That Blazer Just Don't Faze Her

Hilary Duff looks smart and classy, dressing up her leggings with a white v-neck, black blazer and pumps. This outfit is perfect to wear to work, a party or - if you have a book coming out anytime soon, a book signing. Accessorize by adding dangly earrings and a long chain and you're picture perfect ready. You rock Hilary, don't ever change...

7 Be A Flirt In A Light T-Shirt

Whether you throw on a a short fitted t-shirt or a long oversized off the shoulder t-shirt, like Lauren Conrad, this is a simple yet stylish way to wear your leggings. This look is great for running out to do some errands or, if you throw on a pair of heels like Lauren did, you automatically dress the look up and are ready for a night out for dinner with the girls. This outfit is so adorable that it will definitely make anyone else in the room run for the hills...

6 Brown Boots Get's You Hoots

One of my favourite ways to wear leggings is with brown boots. Tall brown knee boots are very in this winter season, especially with black leggings. Wear them with a smart fitted trench coat, like how Pippa Middleton did and you'll be ready to royally face that harsh winter weather in style.

5 Give Her Hugs In those Uggs

Okay admit it, we have all done this look at one point or another. Many call this look a fashion "don't" but I say, "why not?" Wearing leggings with Uggs is comfy and warm and I don't care what you say but I like it! Olivia Wilde showed the haters that you can still make this get-up look fashionable by adding a cute jean jacket and pink scarf. Even with this casual outfit, the paps still went wild taking her photo.

4 Getting Slim At The Gym

Who says you can't look cute and fashionable at the gym? If you look good you feel good, so dress to impress even if you're going to sweat it out. Ashley Benson looks trendy with coral running shoes, a matching bag, along with a purple work-out shirt. Leggings are great to wear when working out because they are easy, comfy and make your legs look long - you'll be ready to strut your stuff on that treadmill, and that's no pretty little lie.

3 Leave The House In A Sexy Blouse

Pairing a smart and simple white blouse with leggings is basic and easy yet looks elegant and chic. Selena Gomez's ensemble looks movie premiere ready with that gorgeous black necklace and cute pastel pink pumps. Wear this outfit to a business meeting or dinner party and all eyes will be on you, naturally.

2 Make The Crowds Stop In A Cute Crop Top

In the summer time, the perfect way to show off your toned and tanned tummy is with a crop top and tight leggings. Miley Cyrus looks adorable and chic with this loose grey striped crop top, leggings and patterned tennis shoes. Whether you're going to the beach or just out for a walk in the warm sun, this outfit is so simple, fun and trendy that we can't stop looking at it.

1 Don't Be Sad, Wear Some Plaid

Plaid shirts, whether tied around your waist or used as an actual shirt always look fantastic with leggings. Lea Michele's outfit is so bold and striking, yet simple and to the point. Both plaid shirts and leggings are so comfortable, but look amazing and fashionable paired together - two gleeful benefits in one! Add the black high-heeled knee boots and you have the perfect look to hit the town with.

What's In For Spring... (Part two)

Yesterday I talked about the trends in fashion that will become popular this spring, and today the second part of my "What's In For Spring" segment is all about accessories. I will be talking about make-up, hairstyles and other trends that will take over the fashion world this spring. Let's begin...

Dark/Plum Lipstick

Dark lipstick, or more specifically "plum" is becoming a very bold but popular choice among young stars in hollywood. This dark or 'goth' theme was actually very popular at the 2014 Grammys with Katy Perry's witch themed performance of "Dark Horse" and Lorde's gothic look. Many won't push their fashion boundaries with this gloomy trend, but to those who aren't confident enough to do it, yet want to try a different, edgy look - plum lipstick is for you. Both Shay Mitchell (left) and Selena Gomez (right) wore a similar beautiful shade that creates a bit of a mysterious look. Shay and Selena both wear the colour amazing with their tan complexions, dark eyes and chestnut brown hair.

Brightly Colour Hair

Dying your hair anything crazy is becoming a norm in the fashion world. Compared to a few years ago, seeing someone with bright pink or red hair is not a shock at all. Blue is the next brown and purple is the next blonde. I personally love this trend and even dyed my hair bright red a year ago. I had it for a few months but considering I have naturally dark brown hair I had to bleach it to get that firetruck red colour and after a few washes, the colour would start to wash out. I decided that it was too much work to have to go to the salon every month, and I was also worried about ruining my hair. (I do miss it a lot now.) I do think this trend will become more popular this spring though. We see that from Gemma Styles (left), Kelly Osbourne (middle) and Demi Lovato (right) pastel colours are the next big thing for hair. All three of these girls pull off these colours stunningly and show off their fun and playful side.

Matte Nail Polish

Matte black nail polish became very 'in' this past year, but most recently the different techniques using matte have started to trend. People aren't just wearing matte black, they are now "mattifying" (yes I made that word up) any colour nail polish from pastel pink (left) to teal blue. I have most recently been putting a matte coat over the fourth finger so I can mix it up between shiny and matte. Another trend starting is to put a matte coat over the entire nail, and then use a shiny top coat to create a french manicure type of look (right).

Spring Colour Alert: Aqua

Aqua, or as many like to call it "tiffany blue", is a perfect colour for spring time. It's bright, fresh and gives a little 'pop' to any outfit. Wearing a simple outfit and adding aqua accents could give your look that tiny bit of excitement it needs. You'll be sure to 'wow' everyone when you walk into the room. Wearing pinstriped black and white shorts with a white blouse is smart and classy on its own but adding that aqua blazer turns your look from plain jane to unique and original. (left) Aqua nail polish (right) is perfect for spring when you start to get a little colour from the sun. The bright colour against tanned skin looks amazing, and might even enhance your skin tone that extra little bit.

Thick Eyebrows

Thick eyebrows is the best fashion statement your face can make. Messy and thick is the trend that you are starting to see more and more on stars, especially younger ones. Both Cara Delevingne (left) and Lilly Collins (right) are known for their signature bold and "unkept" eyebrows. With spring coming and the weather getting warmer, I think the perfect accessory for a new and fresh look is to get a little edgy and rough up those brows. As you can see with both of these ladies, it pairs beautifully with a striking red lip and gives you a high-class chic look to make you runway ready.

Short Hair/Bobs

This past year, everyone had long hair. If someone had short hair, they put extensions in so they could have long hair. Thick waves or pin straight hair were all you saw on us girls! Just recently, we seem to see that the style has changed to short bobs. Everyone is cutting their hair short. Whether it's to have a fresh start or because they can't stand their long hair anymore, short hair is taking over. For spring, this trend is definitely a favourite of mine. Although, I don't think I would have the guts to cut mine short, I would cry too much and miss my long hair. Recently, when my mom was watching Inside Edition, which she watches every night, I saw Deborah Norville (left) and her new short hair do. I think it looks fabulous on her and frames her face perfectly. Emma Roberts (right) made the change as well. She looks stylish and chic and I absolutely love it!

What's In For Spring... (Part one)

It's almost spring time! (I hope.) And with the snow melting away, the beautiful green grass and pretty spring flowers are waking up from their long winter slumber and are ready to soak up the gorgeous, warm sunlight. Okay so we are no where near close to this stage, at least here in Toronto we aren't. But you can never be too early when it comes to being up to date on the latest trends. I'm calling this part one of my "What's in For Spring" segment where I'll be talking about what the latest trends in clothes are for spring. My second part of the segment will be all about accessories that are in this spring - which will be up tomorrow. Here we go...

Pant/Jumpsuits

Pantsuits, or jumpsuits, are definitely starting to become popular this season. They are fresh, cute, trendy, and are the fancier version of a romper. Considering how much of a hit those were the past couple of summers, I know that pantsuits will absolutely become a favourite. The best part about them is that you can wear them out to the mall, or to a red carpet, like these ladies did, and still look super classy either way. Ashley Medekwe (left) from Revenge wore this adorable white patterned pantsuit from Top Shop that resembles overalls. Pair them with heels and a clutch and she looks ready to pose for the cameras. Hailee Steinfeld (right) also rocked a pantsuit by Valentino. The navy lace set along with Brian Atwood heels and a Jimmy Choo clutch looks absolutely adorable on her.

Crop Tops and Pencil Skirts

Last summer, crop tops and high waisted shorts were all any girl was seen wearing, whether it was to the mall or to the beach. Knee length pencil skirts and crop tops are the newest fashion statement that I absolutely love. This trend is a perfect combination of sexy and classy. The crop top shows off a little skin that is daring and edgy, yet because the skirt is knee length and doesn't give away too much leg, the look is still appropriate to wear out to dinner or to a movie premiere. Both Bella Thorne (left) and Kylie Jenner (right) went for a similar look, with off-white skirts, white crop tops and nude heels. Bella accessorized with a clutch and Kylie looked stunning with gold jewellery.

Overalls

They're right when they say fashion get's recycled. (90's throwback anyone?) Long-pant overalls as well as short overalls are going to be seen everywhere this spring. The fun thing about them is you can basically accessorize them according to any season. For example, short overalls can be paired with tights underneath if it's still a bit too chilly for bare legs. Overalls were featured in the Spring 2014 New York Fashion Week runway show. We saw at least three different styles like a denim pair by DKNY and the one's seen above (left) by Rag & Bone. The lovely model on the right is my beautiful sister Vanessa who is sporting a black pair of corduroy overalls from American Apparel with a white crop top sweater underneath, also from American Apparel. Again, the trend is perfect for any season but will specifically be popular this spring.

Spring Colour Alert: Blood Red-Orange

I am extremely happy with the trend of this colour. I mean, I've always thought that blood red-orange was a totally underrated colour and needed to to come out into the fashion world. This colour looks amazingly striking and totally makes a bold statement. I think if you can pull of this loud colour with confidence, you'll have everyone's eyes on you. Going back to one of my favourite Grammy red carpet outfits, Giuliana Rancic (left) in this stunning Alex Perry dress, which is a perfect representation of how fabulous this colour looks on. Victoria Secret Angels, Karlie Kloss and Candice Swanepoel (right) both rocked the blood red-orange colour. Karlie (right) wore a beautiful Talbot Runhof dress that shows off her long legs and Candace (left) flaunts her slim figure in a Robert Rodriquez dress with a midriff cutout.

Cutouts

Speaking of cutouts, this style will certainly be in this spring. Whether it's cutouts on a dress or on a cute top, this trend makes sexy, appropriate for any event. The 'cutout' is a way to show off a touch of skin, yet still keep your ensemble classy and chic. There are many places that the cutout can be placed but two more popular areas of the body that are being show off are the hips and midriff. Selena Gomez (left) wore this gorgeous black Dolce & Gabbana dress that has cutouts on the hips. Even with the slit on the skirt, this dress is not at all too daring, but looks sexy and fashionable on her. Kendall Jenner (right) showed off her midriff with this white Keepsake top and skirt ensemble. Again, the cutout shows just enough skin that the dress looks stylish, not trashy.

and last but not least . . .

Second Spring Colour Alert: Maroon

My high school uniform colour was maroon and at the time I thought, if I saw maroon one more time, I would scream. I was so unbelievable sick of the colour that after four years, I vowed to never wear it again. And..I was wrong there. Surprisingly, I actually adore this colour now and I may even be a little bit obsessed. There's something about it that looks so high-class and and fashionable. Julienne Hough (left) showed off her fit dancer body with this maroon Marc Jacobs crop top and skirt get-up. I love the high neckline and the three-quarter length sleeves. It's a little different from the traditional short-sleeve or tank crop top. Reese Witherspoon (right) sports a casual version of maroon in a nice fitted sweater paired with skinny jeans and cute flats. Again, there's something about maroon that can turn the most simplest of outfits into a trendy and stylish, ready-to-hit-the-town look.

Those are some of the biggest trends I believe will hit the fashion scene this spring. I for sure know that I'll be trying out these looks and colours (If I already haven't). Stay tuned for part two of my "What's In For Spring" segment - accessories.
